PRIVATE TOUR EXPLORING BATH, STONEHEHENGE AND THE COTSWOLD REGION

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Tuesday 5th September 2023:

​

  • I will collect you from your accommodation in Bath at 9am and will drive you to my favourite viewpoint over the city. We will then continue into the centre of Bath where I will take you on a private walking tour of Bath to show you its beautiful buildings and tell you the stories behind these, the city and the people of Bath.

  • After exploring Bath I will drive you to Stonehenge, approx. 50 minutes away. On route we will stop for lunch at a charming village pub. 

  • At Stonehenge I will guide you around the stone circle to explain its history and the theories behind this fascinating site. I will share the latest archaeological discoveries with you. The exact purpose of Stonehenge remains a mystery so at the end of our visit you can form your own opinion!

  • We will return to Bath around 5:30pm.

Wednesday 6th September 2023:

​

  • I will collect you from your accommodation in Bath at 9am and drive you through the famous Cotswolds - an area in England that has been classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

  • During the tour we will stop to visit some of the famous picturesque villages and I will explain about the Cotswolds and some of its unusual stories including why a sheep appears on its logo! We will also stop for a short walk through the countryside.

  • We will return to Bath around 5:30pm.

ADDITIONAL INFO
 

We do not go inside any attractions during the tour (e.g. the Roman Baths museum in Bath). At Stonehenge we do not go inside the stone circle but we will get close to the stones. We will be exposed to the weather during the tours and we will be walking on grass so please bear this in mind for your footwear. Lunch and refreshments are not included in the price of the tour.
