STONEHENGE, LACOCK AND CASTLE COMBE
PRIVATE TOUR
FROM BATH
One of Britain's most famous monuments - Stonehenge.
Before visiting the stones I will explain about the history of Stonehenge.
We will visit the tiny Cotswold village of Castle Combe before returning to Bath.
One of Britain's most famous monuments - Stonehenge.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
I will collect you from your accommodation in Bath at 8:30am and drive you to Stonehenge, approx. 50 minutes away. I will guide you around the Visitor Centre and the ancient stone circle. I have visited Stonehenge over 200 times and it still impresses me each time I visit! Knowing the history and theories behind Stonehenge really enhances a visit so I will share these with you along with its unusual stories!
After exploring Stonehenge I will drive you to two picturesque villages. The villages of Lacock and Castle Combe have changed little over the centuries. Their charming appearance has made them popular filming locations e.g. Harry Potter, Downtown Abbey, Dr Doolittle and War Horse have all been filmed in the villages.
Walking around the villages I will show you traditional village features and places used in films and will tell you stories about the villages. Castle Combe is located within the Cotswolds and was once voted the prettiest village in England. I will explain about the Cotswolds and some of its unusual stories including why a sheep appears on its logo!

We will stop for lunch at one of these villages. We will return to Bath around 4:30pm.

TOUR PRICE
The price includes a private guide, transfers and the entrance tickets into Stonehenge. Lunch and refreshments are not included in the price of the tour.
