2 UNESCO SITES
IN 1 DAY
"My daughter and I spent a highly informative and memorable day with our guide Daniel, touring Bath and Stonehenge. Daniel was very pleasant and made the history of South West England come alive! Having been born and raised in Bath, Daniel had the inside scoop on many interesting facts and tidbits that only a local would know."
BATH AND STONEHENGE TOUR OVERVIEW
Private day tour from Bath - exploring 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the beautiful city of Bath and one of Britain's most famous attractions - Stonehenge.
In the morning I will take you on a private walking tour of Bath, the city where I was born and grew up. The tour will give you a great introduction to Bath. You will see the city's famous landmarks and hear about the history of Bath and how it once attracted Kings and Queens. I will tell you about the interesting stories behind the buildings and past residents such as Jane Austen.
After lunch we will visit Stonehenge. I will guide you around the Visitor Centre and the stone circle. Knowing the history and theories behind Stonehenge really enhances a visit so I will share these with you along with its unusual stories! I have attended talks by archaeologists who have worked at Stonehenge and I will share with you the latest discoveries (there were 2 major discoveries in the summer of 2020!)
After exploring Stonehenge I will drive you back to Bath.
Stonehenge admission tickets are included in the price of the tour.
Tour price depends on the number of people in your group (maximum 6 people - reduced to 5 people in 2020). Please select the number of people in the calendar to show the price.
To book the tour please use the calendar. For more information on the tour please read on...
Stonehenge has limited the number of visitors in 2020 to support social-distancing and all visitors must have a pre-booked ticket for a specific time slot (which I will arrange for you).
From Bath to Stonehenge and back I will drive you in my private vehicle. Whilst COVID-19 guidelines are in place, face-coverings are required to be worn inside the vehicle and inside buildings (but not when we are outdoors). I will supply disposable face-masks should you not have your own face-covering. To support COVID-19 guidelines the maximum number of people that you can book this tour for is 5 people.
Bath Insider Tours has been awarded the "We're Good to Go" certification by the National Tourism Board of England to recognise it is following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has appropriate measures in place. For more information on these measures please click on the "We're Good to Go" logo.

BATH AND STONEHENGE TOUR DESCRIPTION
This tour is a great way to get an introduction to the beautiful city of Bath and visit the region's most famous attraction - Stonehenge. Two UNESCO World Heritage sites in one day!
In the morning you will have a private walking tour of Bath. I will collect you and drive you to my favourite viewpoint over the city. We will then continue by foot into the centre of Bath to explore the city and see Bath's famous landmarks such as the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge. During the tour you will hear stories about the city's past and its famous residents. You will also be shown the location of Bath's hot springs, without which Bath would not be the city it is today.
After exploring Bath I will take you to a charming location for lunch. After lunch I will drive you to Stonehenge (just under 1 hour from Bath) and I will guide you around the Visitor Centre and the stone circle to explain its history, why this particular location may have been chosen and the most recent archaeological findings. Built thousands of years ago the exact purpose of Stonehenge remains a mystery. At the end of our visit you can form your own opinion! We will spend approximately 1.5 hours at Stonehenge giving you plenty of time to see Stonehenge and take photos. At the end of the tour I will drive you back to Bath.
This tour is available daily. The tour starts at 9am and we return to Bath around 5pm.
Pick-up is available from all Bath hotels and central locations in the city - such as the Bath Spa train station. I can also include this tour on a transfer to and from Bath (e.g. London, Southampton) - please contact me for prices.
