STONEHENGE INNER CIRCLE TOUR
WITH SPECIAL ACCESS
STONEHENGE INNER CIRCLE TOUR OVERVIEW
Visit Stonehenge when it is closed to the main public.
Enjoy the unique experience of being able to go inside the stone circle and stand next to the stones - something you can not do during the normal opening hours.
I will accompany you and guide you around the site to point out interesting features, tell the stories behind these and answer any questions you may have.
Access inside the stone circle is controlled by Stonehenge and is limited to 30 people giving you a more intimate experience and giving great photo opportunities.
Tours are subject to availability. Access is only possible on certain days of the month - these dates are determined by Stonehenge. It is not possible to go inside the stone circle on Tuesdays & Wednesdays and there are no tours on any days in October & November.
Tours are operated around sunrise and sunset so your tour may require an early morning start from your accommodation in Bath.
Admission tickets are included in the price of the tour and are non-refundable.
Tour price depends on the number of people in your group (maximum 6 people - reduced to 5 people in July & August 2020). Price for 2 people is a total of £350. Please contact me for the price for other group sizes.
This tour is based upon a pick-up and drop-off in Bath.

Stonehenge is planning to re-start inner circle tours from July 4th. All inner-circle tours take place outside of the main public opening hours and there is a maximum capacity of 30 visitors. For inner circle tours Stonehenge is planning to provide shuttle buses to take visitors between the Visitor Centre and the stone circle. From Bath to Stonehenge and back I will drive you in my private vehicle. Whilst COVID-19 guidelines are in place, face-masks are required to be worn inside my vehicle and on the Stonehenge shuttle bus (but not when we are outside the vehicles). I will supply disposable face-masks should you not have your own face-mask. The maximum number of people that you can book this tour for in July and August 2020 is 5 people. As of mid June, there were spaces for an inner circle tour on a number of dates in July and August.
Bath Insider Tours has been awarded the "We're Good to Go" certification by the National Tourism Board of England to recognise it is following government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has appropriate measures in place. For more information on these measures please click on the "We're Good to Go" logo above.
STONEHENGE INNER CIRCLE TOUR DESCRIPTION
To help protect the stones at Stonehenge, access inside the stone circle is restricted. During the public opening hours visitors can walk around the stone circle but they cannot go inside. On certain dates however Stonehenge permits up to 30 people inside the stone circle before the site officially opens or after it has closed. Guests can spend up to one hour inside the stone circle. Touching of the stones is not permitted.
On this tour I will collect you from your accommodation in Bath and drive you to Stonehenge, approximately 50 minutes away. We will join the other guests who have been fortunate to get inner circle tickets (up to 30 people) and take the Stonehenge Shuttle Bus to the stone circle. During the journey I will give you an overview on the history of Stonehenge. At Stonehenge I will guide you inside the stone circle and point out fascinating features and tell you interesting stories behind the stones. We will have one hour inside the stone circle so there will be plenty of opportunities for photos.
After the tour I will drive you back to your accommodation in Bath.
It is not possible to visit the Stonehenge Visitor Centre during the tour as it will be closed.
You will be exposed to the weather at Stonehenge and you will be walking on grass so please dress accordingly. It can get cold!
Stonehenge offers different times for the inner circle tours depending on the hours for sunlight. The earliest time is at 5am in the summer months. Other times, depending on the time of year, include 5:30am, 6:15am, 6:45am, 7:30am, 8am, 4:45pm, 6:45pm, 8pm and 8:50pm. Your pick-up time will be approx. 1 hour before these times. Tickets sell out months in advance so it may not be possible to choose the time slot for your tour. If there is an option I will select a time which gives you a more comfortable start/end time.
Once Stonehenge has confirmed availability for your tour they will hold our spaces for up to 7 days. To secure your place I will need to buy your tickets before the end of these 7 days. All tickets are non-refundable.
