TOUR DESCRIPTION
I will collect you at 8am from your accommodation in Bath and drive you to Wells, England's smallest city, approx. 1 hour away.
Wells is renowned for its impressive cathedral, its clock which is one of the oldest in the world and a street which is the oldest residential street in Europe - all of which you will visit during our 2 hour private walking tour of Wells. We will also visit the historic Market Place and the Bishops Palace (we do not go inside the Palace). Fans of the cult-film "Hot Fuzz" may recognise a number of the places that we visit as Wells was used as "Sandford" - the main location in the film!
After visiting Wells I will drive you to the non-for-profit falconry on the outskirts of Bath where you will have the unique experience of flying a hawk in the countryside! After the experience I will drive you to a pub for lunch. We will return to your accommodation around 3:15pm.
TOUR PRICE
The total price of the tour for 4 people is £480. A donation to Wells Cathedral to support them in the maintenance and running of the cathedral is included in the price. Your hawk-flying experience is also included.
Refreshments and lunch are not included in the price of tour.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Hawks are carnivores so you will be feeding them meat during the tour. Long sleeves are recommended and we will be walking in grass fields so please bear this in mind for your footwear and clothing.
