THREE GARDENS
TOUR
Private day-trip from Bath exploring 3 National Trust gardens in the South West.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
I will collect you at 9am from your hotel in Bath and drive you to Stourhead, approx. 45 minutes away. Once home to generations of the Hoare family the Stourhead estate is now looked after by the National Trust. It is a beautiful place to take a walk among its famous landscape garden which we will do during our visit.
After visiting Stourhead I will drive you to Montacute House, an Elizabethan house surrounded by gardens. We will explore the gardens (and the house should you wish) and have lunch at the on-site cafe. From Montacute we will continue to Lytes Cary Manor to explore our 3rd and final garden.
After the tour I will drive you back to Bath, arriving around 5:30pm.
TOUR PRICE
The price includes private transfers to and from Bath. I will accompany you in the gardens but please note that I have not been to Montacute and Lytes Cary before and so I am not an expert on these sites, I am also not an expert on flowers and trees! Please bring your National Trust card with you as these will be needed to gain access to the gardens (otherwise admission fees will apply on the day). Lunch and refreshments are not included in the price.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We will be exposed to the weather during the tour so please wear suitable clothing and wear footwear suitable for walking on dirt paths. We will be visiting the gardens in Autumn so please set your expectations for what you will see accordingly.
