With so much to see and do holidays can be go, go, go! Sometimes though it is nice to have just a moment of downtime to give your body a well earned holiday too! Here in Bath we are fortunate to have a number of places that offer exactly that. The following two places have late opening hours so you don't have to forego a tour with an amazing guide to enjoy them ;) If this sounds of interest please read on!

Thai massage at the Bath Thy Spa
What type of massage do you like?

Thy Spa is a well regarded Thai massage spa offering treatments in the Bath city centre. Their treatments include the traditional Thai massage, Oil massage, Foot massage, Back Neck & Shoulders massage and hot and stone massages, CBD massages and much much more. Could this be the perfect way to relax your muscles after lots of days touring or after walking the infamous Cotswolds Way?!

Thy Spa is open until 9pm Monday to Saturday or 7pm on Sunday. You can just show up but an appointment will guarantee a particular time. You can visit their website here.

I am delighted to announce that Thy Spa is offering guests of Bath Insider Tours a 10% discount on their treatments. To benefit from this please show them my business card at the reception or if you have yet to meet me - please show them your tour booking confirmation on your phone. If you are making an appointment online you can use the following discount code: THYSPATOUR10 (you may still be asked to show my business card/booking confirmation at the reception).

My sister recently had a massage at the Bath Thy Spa and gave it the thumbs up!

The outdoor rooftop pool at the Thermae Bath Spa
The outdoor rooftop pool at the Thermae Bath Spa

The Thermae Bath Spa recently celebrated their 20th birthday. Located in the heart of Bath, the spa uses the city's natural hot springs for their spa. Features include an indoor pool, steam rooms, an infra-red solarium, a celestial room and a small outdoor rooftop pool (the highlight for many!) Guests have use of these facilities for a 2 hour session. When I have friends from overseas visit me I like to bring them here to experience this!

Towels and robes are included but you will need to bring your swimwear! Phones are not permitted in the spa but can be stored in your locker. The last session is at 7pm (excluding Christmas Eve and New Years Eve). Children under 16 are not permitted in the spa. Insider Tip: if possible I recommend avoiding the weekends when it can get very busy.

Walk-ins are possible but again an advance reservation will guarantee your slot. You can visit the Thermae Bath Spa website here. Unfortunately I cannot offer you a discount code for them!

The Cross Bath in Bath
The Cross Bath which uses the city's hot springs can be hired out for exclusive use

The Thermae Bath Spa also offers treatments and has a small private pool located across the road from the main spa (the Cross Bath) which also uses the city's hot springs.

On Tuesdays the Cross Bath is open for public sessions at set times and children aged between 12 and 15 are allowed to attend these (with parents/guardians).

The Cross Bath can also be hired for exclusive use at set times. The bath can accommodate a maximum of 10 people and the sessions are based on a 90 minute slot. The price for an exclusive hire at the time of writing is £800 on weekdays or £1000 on weekends. This includes champagne/juice and savoury treats. Reservations are essential. For more information please click here.

I hope the above information gives you some ideas for your stay in Bath - I wish all of those coming to Bath an enjoyable and relaxing/pampered stay!
