Bath Restaurant Week

When I travel I like to try the local foods and appreciate recommendations on good places to eat. Here in Bath we are very lucky to have some fantastic restaurants offering a wide range of cuisine. In addition to national chains there are lots of small independent restaurants and cafes. Last year the city introduced the Bath Restaurant Week to help promote Bath's restaurant scene and I am pleased to report that it is returning this year. Between the 17th March and the 24th March - some of Bath's restaurants, cafes and bars are offering special promotions. These include Bath's only Michelin star restaurant (the Olive Tree), the famous Sally Lunn Cafe, the historic Pump Rooms where you can enjoy afternoon tea and my favourite seafood restaurant, the Scallop Shell and many other places. If you are in Bath on Monday 16th March a number of local businesses will be competing in the Waiters Race which takes place at the historic Royal Crescent! The race takes place at 11am. I missed it last year but I hope to attend this year!

The majority of Bath's restaurants are small so it is advisable to make dinner reservations in advance - particularly on weekends and during the holidays.
